Know Your History: Spock’s Ears

Meanwhile over at startrekpropauthority.com there is a great history lesson to be had with amazing photos of how Spock’s ears were made and applied for the Original Series of Star Trek.  From the article:

They were designed and first applied to Leonard Nimoy by the celebrated, veteran Hollywood Makeup Artist Fred B. Phillips for the Original Series 1st pilot episode “The Cage”.

Sure, you might say… “Who cares”?

Perhaps you can whip out a time machine and go back to create one of the biggest icons in Sci-Fi history (against all sorts of religious opression mind you) and be remotely successful at it, but I can’t.
