Patrick Tatopoulos Closing His Studio?

There is a rumor cirulating that Patrick Tatopoulos has decided to close his studio for good. Multiple FX shop regulars were heard saying similar statements to the effect of – “crap… there goes another good shop to work for” or “Damn, I really wanted to work there!”
Insiders speculate he wants to focus on his directing. His directorial debut is on the way in the form of Underworld 3: Rise of the Lycans Due for release January 23, 2009.
His book (Tatopoulos Design: The Art and Concepts of Patrick Tatopoulos) has been on pre-order for it seems like forever….now the book release date seems to coinside with the January release of Underworld to capitalize on it’s director’s fame.

Bad News. This was absolutely confirmed my multiple sources. Some were present during the auctioning of equipment at the shop. Other that have worked with the now director before confirmed it as well.
