Over the past dacades, digital image experts have become something of a digital detective. Site Photoshopped Image Killer has developed computer algorithms that can tease out the tiny flaws hidden in phony photos. Though there's no way to push a button and tell if a photo is real, there are tests run automatcally there to allow you to be pretty sure if it's a fake.

Hello,
As one of the " Little People " who sculpted for these suits , thank you for your article !!

Countless hours, measurements, design changes and experience went into these suits. They were a combination of many different materials, and new techniques were combined to bring them to " life " .

A crew of at least 150 artists was required to make these suits happen, and for my movie going money , they looked great onscreen !

Actors , most who make more for a few months on 1 film than most of these artist make in 2-3 years working, should indeed stop and think about bitching and whining about how much they " suffered " in makeups and outfits.
These makeups and outfits do nothing but bring them more attention, a wider range of job offers and make them look good . So please actors, kiss my gourmet Ramen noodle eatin butt !
You should feel fortunate to be making the money you do, taking advantage of numerous people striving to make things work for you to look as good as our budget and timeframe allows.

Practical FX Artist,
Russ Lukich

P.S.
While we are on the subject , it would be nice to receive onscreen credit for these onscreen efforts, just like all other aspects of the film productions, such as the CGI artists, catering, transportation and other people who consistently receive credit.
As most of us no longer receive screening invitations, crew gifts/shirts or onscreen credit, shame on the studios as well .

Shocking and sad. I met JT in the last year as a fellow self-publisher and we had fun sharing ideas. He was so excited about the new era and really innovative and friendly. My best thoughts for his family, and peace to you, JT.

Thanks for taking note of this. James deserves to be remembered. He was a terrific artist, and while it's a given to say this about a dead guy, he really was a damn fine human being. Kind, funny, irreverent, silly... Did I mention talented? All kinds of good adjectives. He gave me and lots of other people a big break, and expected nothing back. For him, that was just what you do when you have the chance.

A big heart and a good soul.

So long James.
